PRETTY FACE CANARY MOTHERS DAY

Here is the first Mothers Day card I have done this year, with one of Krista's Saturated Canary pretty faces. I thought he was very sweet.

Man I sure am rusty on the cards these days.

I have used distress inks for her. I am enjoying the softer look they have.

I used the new Marianne dies LR0376 for the frame which I distressed. The swirly is a sue Wilson die .I have put some frantage around the image to shabby it up a little.

I used one of the new cottage roses from Wild Orchid. A little close up of flowers I have used.

Colours used were. Vintage photo for skin. Antique linen and walnut for hair. Shaded lilac for purple.

AN AUTUMN CANARY

Hi everyone. I have a card today from one of Krista's new designs over at Saturated Canary.

 

She is called Autumn.

 

 

 

 

 

She is coloured with copics.

 

 

I have used a spellbinders die for the frame. I have had this set for a while and this is the first time I have used them. The frame is quite big, but it worked well with this card.

Lovely autumn colours for the flowers, from wild orchid crafts.

Well hello again peeps.

 

I am just delighted with all the lovely comments I have received for my Blog hop card for the Canary.

And I have picked up a couple of new followers too which is fab.

This card took me forever as it is not a colour I would normally do , and had a little trouble matching all the flowers.

LITTLE FAIRY CANARY

BOWIE

Hi all, Just a quick post from me today with this shaped card I have done with the Saturated Canary stamp.

 

 

She is called Bowie .

 

 

I have coloured her with Prisma pencils.

I wanted to make some shaped cards and forgot I had the Grand Nestabilities Labels one already so cut out the third size down with my big shot.

I dyed some lace to match.

The little tag sentiments from LOTV.

50'S FASHION CANARY !!!!

Hello dear Blog peeps.

 

 

Saturated Canary has some fab new digi's called fashion decades.

This one I couldn't resist is from the 40's 50's decades.

 

 

It's a little before my time, but I love this era , wish we could go back there again.

I found someone here in Brisbane who had those stunning 'Lemoncraft " papers , so had to go get some real quick.

This one is from the house of roses collection.

 

I have used copics for this one.

 

Distressed and frantage'd  the edges. The frame is paper Artist.

 

The heart is Magnolia Doohickey's.and the butterfly is Joy crafts.

 

Colours used were RV 34,32,11,10

 

 

 





HOWDY FRIEND

A little cool today so have been colouring in my craft room.

I have done this delightful Saturated Canary stamp

with Distress Inks.

 

 

 

 

She is  available as a  rubber stamp at Little Darlings.

 

Some wild orchid flowers and a little Gesso .

 

Papers used this time was " Oh so lovely " from Kaisercraft.

BEAUTIFUL BRIDE

Saturated Canary has released a couple of new digi's and wanted to do this one , as I haven't done a wedding card for ages.

 

 

 

 

I have used lots of yummy goodies on this card.

 

Done with copics  and a little frantage around the image.

 

The papers I used were Couture Creations " Hearts Ease. "

I wish you could see more of the papers, they are beautiful but I have covered them up LOL ... 

 

 

 

 

A little close up of the gorgeous flowers mostly from Wild Orchid Crafts.

The flourish is from Marianne as is the wedding rings.

 

The sentiment card was out of the paper pad as well.

I have distressed all the edges .

 

I have put start dust stickles on her wedding dress , not so easy to see in the pic.

BIG HUGGGSSS !!

Hello all you wonderful ladies out there in Blog land.

I have finally started to return to normal ( whatever that is ) after my trip away to New Zealand. It has been sooo hard to get back into the swing of card making again but I have done it now.

 

 

I have a Saturated Canary stamp today, one of the older ones from Little Darlings called " Free Hug "

 

 

 

This one done with Prisma pencils on Canson 200 Drawing paper.

 

Edges distressed and inked. The hearts flourish is from Doohickeys club set. I have put a little wooden envelope on the lace.

 

The sentiment is from Hot off the Press Heartfelt greetings set.

EVERY GIRL NEED'S A LITTLE BLACK DRESS, RIGHT !!

I was thinking that this beautiful girl needs to be in a black dress, so here she is.

 

 

 

I have done her in Prisma pencils although I have used Polychromo;s on her hair , as you are able to get a better point on the poly,s for finer streaks.

 

 

 

Papers were called " little black dress" by Basic Grey.

 

I put lots of frantage on this one .

 

 

Here's a little close up , as the rose trim at the bottom didn't show up that well and it looks so lovely.

Sentiment is from Whimsy , that I have embossed with gold.  

 

Colours used for her hair were in the poly's

Black,Sepia,dark grey and a little nougat.

 

 

Colours used in Prisma for her dress were Black, dark grey and 10% cool grey.

SWEETHEART

WINE GIRL AND TIME TO CELEBRATE

I got my latest edition of Complete Cardmaking magazine , issue no 56, ( bought from the UK) which has a good selection of Saturated Canary images on a CD. Couldn't wait to get this one on a card.

I had bought a set of 132 Prisma Pencils from the US  ( There are some advantages to having a son living in Chicago)

 

So coloured this with the Prisma's.

 

 

 

 

 

 

A very elegant lady , don't  you think ?

 

I used the Couture Creations paper called Vintage Rose. These are gorgeous papers almost don't want to use them !!

 

Heart flourish is a Magnolia Doohickeys club die.

The butterfly is Marianne, and sentiment is from Lilly of the Valley. LOTV.

IT'S A BREEZE !!

Hi blogland peeps.

 

 

I wanted to do something a little different for a change .

 

I decided to make a rocker card, as I haven't done this before.

 

 

The Saturated Canary stamp is a rubber one that you can get from Little Darlings.

 

 

She is called " Breeze "

 

I have coloured her with Polychromo's on watercolour paper. This worked very well and allowed me to give layers and depth of colour.

 

 

 

I made the little envelope with a template from Michelle R design.

As for the card it self I used a Grand Spellbinders die Scalloped Ovals , that I drew around and just cut out by hand..

A MAY DAY

I have been having a lovely time catching up with my Saturated Canary digi's that I have been wanting to do for a long time , so here is another.

 

 

 

 

 

 

She is called May I have coloured her with inktense pencils.

The lovely papers I have used this time are from the Antique Rose collection by Couture.

I have cut a round butterfly die from Noor and put little butterflies that match the papers.

The frame is from Spellbinders.

A little resin rose corner and glossy accents to her eyes and lips.

 

 

I made two matching rolled roses and put a pearl in the centres.

 

Sentiment from Whimsy.

MURIEL

Two in one day .I had such a peaceful day that I was able to finish this card with Muriel. A digi from Saturated Canary.

 

 

 

 

She is so soft and pretty and very sweet.

I have done this on watercolour paper with Inktense pencils and a brush.

 

I hand dyed the lace pink to match.

some glossy accents to her eyes and lips.

The sentiment is from Whimsy.

 

I made two little rolled roses with the pearls in them.

 The gorgeous papers are the new Pion Design called Paris flea market.

Don't know how I could bring myself to cut them.

 

 

Some flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts. The twirly twigs are the stems you cut off the flowers .

OUT OF THE COMFORT ZONE !!

Hello Blog peeps ....

 

I have called this post " out of the comfort zone" because that is what this card is for me.

 

 

I have done something completely different from my usual type of card.

 

This is a new Saturated Canary digi image.

 

 

 

I have distressed all the edges and inked them up with Vintage Photo distress ink.

 

The papers I have used are from Michelle R designs digital papers.

 

Called Shabby Purple Charms.

 

 I have used some frontage around the image.

I dyed the lace with some walnut crystals to grubby it up.

 

I knew all those old flowers I have been hanging onto would come in handy one day. It doesn't pay to throw anything out, you never know when you may need it.

The butterflies are a Noor Design border and the birdcage is a Dixie die.

 

Sentiment from Whimsy ticket stamps and die.

 

 

I enjoyed making this card and think I might do another tomorrow. !
